Full HD 135inch Matte White Curved Fixed Frame Projection Screen, 2.35 : 1 Ratio For 3D Home Cinema
As the projection world changes, more home theater builders are converting to CinemaScope screens. A super wide Cinemascope screen allows you to watch a widescreen movie the way Hollywood intended it to be viewed and gives you 33% more resolution from your projector (see below)
The main objective to home theater is to bring the full movie experience into your home. Most movies are produced in a Cinemascope format also known as 2.35:1 aspect ratio. The Cinemascope screen immerses the viewer into the movie by opening up their peripheral vision. It has been said before that one way to compare a 2.35:1 aspect ratio screen to a 16:9 screen is the same difference as watching the world go by through your window or stepping outside your home and taking part in the world.
The Curved Screen takes the home theater Cinemascope experience one step further by encapsulating the viewer; the curve of the screen creates the feeling of being drawn into the movie. In addition to drawing the viewer into the movie, the Curved screen provides many other benefits as noted below.
Redirection of light.
A flat projection screen reflects light back to the audience as well as the walls around it. Light reflecting off the side walls can reflect back to the projection screen washing out the projected image. This reflected light can also reflect the colour of the wall (including dark colored walls) back to the projection screen causing an unwanted color shift of the projected image.
The curvature of the Curved screen directs the projectied reflected light towards the center of the viewing audience which acts to reduce the unwanted colour shift.
Anamorphic Lens Distortion
As Cinemascope widely becomes more popular in todays home theaters, more home theater builders are using adaptable anamorphic lenses and scalers to increase the resolution and light output of the 2.35 aspect ratio projected image.
Anamorphic lenses are known to distort the projected image by making the center of the projected image more narrow than the edges. The concave shape of the curved projector screen reverses this effect by bringing the ends of the screen closer to the audience and pushing the center of the screen away from the audience thus giving you a non distorted projected image.
A little more info on anamorphic lenses...
When watching a 2.35:1 movie on a 16:9 projector and screen, the unwanted black bars above and below the movie account for 33% of loss resolution and up to 20% loss of light.
By adding an anamorphic lens, scaler and Cinemascope screen, you can eliminate the black bars and get 33% more resolution and up to 20% more light from your projector
Uniform light distribution across the screen
High gain projection screen material is synonymous for narrow viewing cones and hot-spotting. The concave shape of the Curved helps evenly distribute light across the high gain projection screen which also improves the viewing cone.

What is the different between Matt White and Glass Bead?
Matt White--Matt white vinyl reflective surface diffuses projected light in all directions, so image can be seen from any angle. MW provides accurate colour rendition as well as superior clarity. Recommended for use with all high light output projection devices. Better in a low ambient light environment. Gain = 1.1. Also the MW surface can be cleaned.
Glass Bead--Spherical glass beads embedded in surface provide more reflection giving a brighter image compared to matt white. This brighter image is limited to a smaller viewing angle than matt white. Glass Bead screens will slightly alter the purity of the colours displayed... and will have 'sweet spots' where the picture is at its premium... the picture at other viewing angles can appear slightly darker (yet still lighter than a MW screen). Gain = 2.5. But the GB surface can NOT be cleaned.
Some suggestions of choosing the screen size...
The optimization size would give you the best enjoying when watching films, so please read the follow suggestions before you bid the item.
1. Please measure the horizontal distance between the audience seats and the screen, it would be about twice as the viewable height.
2. Make sure the screen hemline be away from the floor about 1.5 meter.
FAQ
1) Q: Are your screens suitable for 3D ?
A: Yes, they have been tested with a large range of 3D projectors with excellent results
2) Q: What size of screen should I go for ?
A: The size of screen is determined by the distance you are sitting from it but you should also make sure your projector will fill the screen from where you are able to mount it.
As a rule of thumb choose a screen just under half the width of the sitting distance.
If you are sitting around 12-14ft away use a 7ft screen.
3) Q: What is the gain?
A: The gain is the reflectivity of the screen, meaning how much light the screen reflects from the projector back at the
